BARBOURSVILLE — ASAP (Advocates Saving Adoptable Pets) will host an adoption event Saturday, July 30, at the grand opening of Pet Supplies Plus at 150 Mall Road (the former Pier One).

Animals from the Huntington Cabell Wayne Animal Shelter will be available for adoption from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Adoption fees for dogs are $125, and for cats, $65. The fee includes vaccines, dewormer, flea/tick meds, heartworm test or combo test (cats) and spay/neuter. Some animals have sponsorships.

Applications are required and available at hcwanimalshelter.com.

There will be discounts and door prizes held at the grand opening all day.
