Avermectin Injection
Composition: Avermectin
Indications:
Treatment of gastrointestinal roundworms, lice, lungworm infections, oestriasis and scabies in calves, cattle, goats, sheep and swine.
Dosage and administration :
For subcutaneous administration.
Calves, cattle, goats and sheep : 1 ml per 50 kg body weight.
Swine : 1 ml per 33 kg body weight.
Precautions:
Do not permit water runoff from feedlots to enter lakes, streams or ponds.
Do not contaminate water by direct application or the improper disposal of drug containers.
Dispose of containers in an approved landfill or by incineration.
Side effects:
When Ivermectin comes in contact with soil, it readily and tightly binds to the soil and becomes inactive over time.
Free Ivermectin may adversely affect fish and some water born organisms on which they feed.
Withdrawal times:
For meat:
Calves, cattle, goats and sheep : 28 days.
Swine : 21 days.
Storage:
Store in airtight, dark and cool place.
