Enrofloxacin injection
Composition:
Enrofloxacin
Indications :
Enrofloxacin injection is a broad spectrum antibiotic active against gram positive and gram negative bacteria as well as mycoplasmas and chlamydias .
Dosage and Administration :
Inject intravenous or intramuscular for animals : 2.5 mg/ kg of bw .
Precautions :
Enrofloxacin injection is not suitable for horse , dogs which are 8 weeks old and laying hens .
Side Effects :
With the exception of potential cartilage abnormalitiese in young animals , the adverse effect profile of these drugs appears to be minimal .
Gl distress ( vomiting , anorexia ) is the most common , yet infrequently reported adverse effect .
Although not reported thus far in animals , hypersensitivity reactions , crystalluria and CNS effects ( dizziness , stimulation ) could potentially occur .
Precautions :

Withdrawal Times :
Milk : 72 hrs
Meat : 14 days

Store at room temperature ( 15-20°C) and protect from light .
